How to change the SSH port

Log in to the server with root user
Open /etc/ssh/sshd_config.
```
vi /etc/ssh/sshd_config
```
Edit the port line. Change the default port 22 to your choice, for example 1234.
```
port 1234
```
Restart SSHD
```
/scripts/restartsrv_sshd
```
Test SSH while specifying the new port
```
ssh USER@HOSTNAME -p1234
```
Please use your USER and HOSTNAME and the new port
If unsuccessful, add the new SSH port to your firewalls and then retest.
If the SSH test on the new port is successful then you can reboot and log in to the server with new port.

Access MariaDB Server

mysql -u root -p

Create new database

CREATE DATABASE bdhostidb;

Check whether the database created

SHOW DATABASES;

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON 'sqI_bdhositit_co'.* TO 'sqI_bdhositit_co'@localhost;

First add the user, run:
```
sudo adduser <UserNameHere>
```
Add the user to sudo group by typing the command in terminal for Ubuntu version 12.04 and above:
```
sudo adduser <UserNameHere> sudo
```
In an older version of Ubuntu (version 12.04 and older), run:
```
sudo adduser <UserNameHere> admin
```
Verify it:
```
id <UserNameHere>
```

Check whether Screen is installed
```
which screen
```
If Screen is not installed on your system, run the following command:
1. If your system uses yum, you can install Screen with the command below
```
yum install screen
```
2. If your system uses apt, you can install Screen with the command below
```
apt install screen
```
To run a Screen session, enter the screen command.
```
screen
```
If your session disconnects for some reason, log back in to your server and run the screen -r command.
```
screen -r
```
This will reconnect you to your Screen session.

The mv command moves file(s) from one location to another.

To move a file from one directory to another with mv, remember the syntax below

mv <source> <destination>

For example,

mv example.zip /home

Check whether, it moves example.zip

ls /home

Rename the file as you move it

mv example.zip /home/newexample.zip

Rename a file without moving it to another location

mv example.zip renameexample.zip

Moving a directory

mv exampledir /home

Moving a file safely

mv --interactive example.zip /home

This will ask

mv: overwrite '/home/example.zip'?

If you do not want to manually intervene, use –no-clobber or -n instead.

mv --no-clobber example.zip /home
