How to run the System File Checker (SFC) to check and repair corrupted system files

System File Checker in Windows

 

  • Make sure you’ve installed the latest updates for Windows, and then restart your machine. To find out more, read Update Windows.
  • Run the Command Prompt as Administrator.
  • Then type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (note the space before each “/”), and then press Enter.
    (Note: This step may take a few minutes to start and complete.)
  • After you see a message that says “The operation completed successfully,” type sfc /scannow (note the space between “sfc” and “/”) and press Enter.
  • After you see a message that says, “Verification 100% complete,” type exit and press Enter.

Create a Microsoft developer account and join Microsoft 365 Developer Program.

1. Search “Microsoft Developer”
2. Go to “Microsoft 365 Dev Center”
3. Join “Join the Microsoft 365 Developer Program today!”
4. Sign up or if you have account “Sign in”
5. Now fill up the form for “Join the Microsoft 365 Developer Program today!”
6. What is your primary focus as a developer? (Choose only one)
– Custom solution for my own customers
7. What areas of Microsoft 365 development are you interested in? ​We will show you resources, tools, and training to help you get started.
– Microsoft Team
8. Set up your Microsoft 365 E5 sandbox
– Configurable sandbox
9. Set up your Microsoft 365 E5 configurable sandbox
– Set username, domain and password and then continue.
10. Provide you mobile number and verify it.
11. After that you will get “Your Microsoft 365 developer subscriptions” page. Click on “Go to subscription”
12. You will be prompted for login with the just created password.
13. After login, you will get office.com page.
14. Now on this page, click on “Install apps” and then “Microsoft 365 apps”
15. A around 7MB file will be downloaded.
16. Install it .

Java Errors

Fix: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Open CMD

Check java version

java –version

If get error, search Environment Variables
Edit the system environment variables > Advance > Environment Variables
Double click path within
Click on New and add your java bin path

In my case the is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-19\bin

Could not create Java virtual machine error on Windows 10 and windows 11

Variable name: _JAVA_OPTIONS
Variable value: -Xmx512M

Convert your old router to wifi repeater (Range Extender)

  • How to use old router as a repeater.

The same method, you can apply to any other wifi router.

All steps are in OLD router. You just have to connect old router to new with cable, and old router to PC with cable.

At first, you may have to reset the router to its default state, if required.

  • Plug in the router
  • Take a pin
  • Put the pin in the tiny hole behind the router
  • Press and hold for 10 seconds (all signal light will be on at a time)

1. Login to your router using default username and password.

By default TP-Link user and password is “admin”

2. Go to Wireless > Wireless Settings and name your Wireless Network.

  • Enable WDS Bridging
  • Servey for your primary device
  • A new window will be opened and you can find your primary device.
  • Connect it.
  • It will fill up some fields automatically.
  • Now seclect Key type:
    WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK
  • Enter your password of primary device.
  • Save

3. Then go to Wireless > Wireless Security

  • Check this option and enter password for new extender.
    WPA/WPA2 – Personal(Recommended)
  • Save.

4. Now go to DHCP > DHCP Settings and

  • Disable DHCP Server.
  • Save

5. Now click on Network > LAN and change the IP Address to your choice.

  • For example: 192.168.0.9
  • Save
  • Modification of IP address or Subnet Mask will result in the rebooting of the Device, OK?
  • It will reboot your device

NTLRD is missing | Windows XP

  • NTLDR is missing
  • Press any key to restart
  • NTLDR is missing
  • Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart
  • Boot: Couldn’t find NTLDR
  • Please insert another disk

How to Fix Errors (options)

  1. Reset all internal data and power cables.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Disconnect any external drives.
  4. Try changing the boot order in BIOS.
  5. Check the hard disk and other drive settings in BIOS and ensure they’re correct.
  6. Restore the NTLDR and ntdetect.com files from the Windows XP CD.
  7. Repair or replace the boot.ini file.
  8. Write a new partition boot sector to the Windows XP system partition.
  9. Repair the Windows XP master boot record.
  10. Try replacing the IDE cable.
  11. Update your motherboard’s BIOS.
  12. Perform a repair installation of Windows XP.
  13. Perform a clean installation of Windows XP.
  14. Replace the hard drive and then perform a new installation of Windows XP.
